The Laboratory of Cartography, Ecology and Modelling (LACEMOD), Environmental Sciences sect. (MESVA Dept., UnivAQ) comes from the integration of several research skills.
The common thread is the application of the most advanced data analysis techniques and cartographical processing and representation aiming at the study of many environmental issues.
In particular, LACEMOD deals with researches about biological conservation, biogeography and effects of climate change on biodiversity.
The research activity is carried out by field work, remote sensing, laboratory analyses and data exploration through multivariate statistics and machine learning techniques.
This website aims to foster the exchange of ideas among interested people, to enhance the organization of seminars and thematic events, as well as to simplify the access to the scientific research in the Environmental sciences.
